Underbrush

Underbrush — a community-centered book club. Typography takes center stage in this solution. Delicate details give the wordmark its whimsical personality while referencing vintage book spines and decorative drop caps. We also took every opportunity to use discretionary ligatures (there were a lot of them). Elegant linework reiterates the vine-like details in the type. A deciduous forest-inspired palette filled with deep greens and blues grounded the identity and provided the perfect backdrop for a custom pattern filled with botanicals, bees, and moths.
